UptimeFrom Building My First Site to Running a Media Platform
I started with WordPress in 2013, teaching myself theme customization, design, development, and PHP while building websites for local businesses. What began as a technical curiosity became a genuine passion for helping people tell their stories and grow their businesses through the open web.
Today, I:
- Run Susinsight.com, a WordPress-based sustainability journalism platform where I handle everything from hosting configuration to security management, content workflows to performance optimization.
- Support 30+ clients across technology, media, sustainability, and e-commerce sectors with ongoing WordPress maintenance, troubleshooting, and strategic guidance.
- Mentor emerging designers and developers on WordPress best practices, helping them build confidence in managing complex projects.
- Teach and train teams on content management, platform optimization, and digital workflows that improve efficiency.
What excites me most? That moment when someone goes from "I can't figure this out" to "Oh, now I get it!"—whether it's a client finally understanding how to manage their own content, or a mentee successfully deploying their first custom WordPress solution.

My Support Philosophy
I Believe Great Support Is About People, Not Just Problems
Technical issues are rarely just technical. Behind every support ticket is someone trying to accomplish something important to them: publish a story, launch a product, grow their business, or simply make their site work the way they need it to.
My approach:
Technical issues are rarely just technical. Behind every support ticket is someone trying to accomplish something important to them: publish a story, launch a product, grow their business, or simply make their site work the way they need it to.
My approach:
- Listen first - Understand the real problem, not just the symptoms.
- Explain clearly - Technical concepts in plain language, always.
- Empower, don't just fix - Help people learn so they can solve similar issues themselves.
- Follow through - Check back to make sure solutions actually work.
- Stay curious - Every problem is a chance to learn something new.
Real Support Examples:
"Your explanation finally made it click"
Spent 30 minutes on a call walking a client through WordPress REST API concepts so they could understand why their integration wasn't working. They later told me it was the clearest technical explanation they'd ever received.
"You saved our launch"
Client's e-commerce site went down 2 hours before a major product launch. Diagnosed a plugin conflict, implemented a fix, tested thoroughly, and got them back online with 45 minutes to spare.
"I can actually manage this myself now"
Trained a nonprofit team on content workflows and basic troubleshooting. Six months later, they're publishing confidently and only reach out for genuinely complex issues.
